Daily Care Log for Dogs: Calories, Treats, Potty & Meds

Log your dog’s meals, treats, potty breaks, walks and meds in one tap each. The calorie bar shows how much is left today, and it warns you before treats go over 10% of the daily calories, the limit vets recommend.

Why log the small stuff?

Most dogs that gain weight don’t get it from meals. It comes from treats, chews and table scraps nobody counts. Vets assess more than half of US dogs as overweight, and most owners don’t see it. A daily log turns “a few biscuits” into a number you can act on.

The same log helps with house training (when was the last pee?), upset stomachs (a 1 to 7 stool score, with a nudge to call the vet if loose stools keep coming), and the monthly question “did we give the heartworm pill?”

How the calorie target is worked out

Resting energy (RER) = 70 × body weight in kg0.75, multiplied by a life-stage factor from WSAVA and AAHA guidance: 3.0 for puppies under 4 months, 2.0 from 4 to 12 months, 1.6 for neutered adults, 1.8 for intact adults, 1.4 for seniors, and 1.0 at ideal weight for weight loss. Meals get about 90% and treats up to 10%. If your vet gave you a number, type it in and it replaces the formula.

Free saves the log in this browser. BlueTarg Pro syncs it to your account, lets a partner or sitter log from their own phone with a share link, adds medication and prevention reminders, and prints a 7-day summary for your vet.

This log is a record, not a diagnosis. Call your vet about anything that worries you.
